Celebrating Excellence: Russell Hastings Named a 2025 Samsara Verified Safest Drivers Honoree

Taylor Truck Line is proud to announce that Russell (Russ) Hastings has been honored as one of the 2025 Samsara Verified Safest Drivers. This award recognizes professional drivers who have demonstrated exceptional safety performance over the past year.

Samsara's "Verified Safest Drivers" is an initiative aimed at highlighting drivers who consistently make safe decisions on the road – things like maintaining safe following distances, avoiding harsh braking, limiting risky turns, and always wearing seatbelts. To qualify, a driver has to:

• Log at least 10,000 miles in the qualifying period (June 30, 2024 to June 30, 2025).

• Be part of a fleet using Samsara's AI safety tools by the end of the qualifying period.

• Have a very low safety event rate – meaning very few incidents per mile driven. Safety events include things like harsh braking/acceleration, following too closely, seatbelt non-use, mobile device distractions, etc.

Russ has been with Taylor Truck Line since 2020 and during that time has driven approximately over 700,000 miles safely, with very few incidents, showing a level of consistency and professionalism that sets a high standard. He was also nominated as Driver of the Year in 2021, only one year after joining the company.
